i get a problem where i lure grasping darknesses and one of them hasnt used their distracting blow,is anyone else having the same problem and does anyone know of a way around this or how to avoid it?

Attack it and move around a little, that usualy makes them use their distracting blow.

Finally decided to make an ele and try this build. It's great. So much faster then the W/Rt I used to do

Still gotta get used to fighting the graspings though, I always get SV interrupted and I die

Meh, don't worry. The droprate will be back to levels of sheer pathetic once this weekend event gets up and running. That and the insane amount of lag that will decend on it.

Recasting SDH pulls their Distracting Blows out even faster

Hmm, since I have an exam statistics atm, I've calculated the chance of getting 1 ecto (again):
(I've used the chance of 2% per smite dropping ecto, and 40 smites in total)

40^1 (this one means 40 above 1, which is eaqual to 40 anyway) *0.98^39*0.02^1
= 0.3638blablabla
So this means a chance of 0.36 than you get an ecto each run.
I'm still stuying the variance of this not happening so keep in touch

not exacly true , it's the chance to have exactly one , but you can have more in a run

E(ecto) = 40*0.02 = 0.8

An ecto means 1 ecto in my vocabulary

2 ecto= 40 above 2 * 0.02^2 * 0.98^38=0.1447 = roughly 15% chance
3 ecto= '' '' 3 * 0.02^3 * 0.98^37=0.0374 = roughly 4% chance
4 ecto = '' '' 4 * 0.02^4 * 0.98^36=0.0071 = roughly 0.7% chance

and more ectos is even more rare

(this has to be the way to calculate the CHANCE it happens, or my studybooks from university have to be wrong

keep in note that we can discuss the 2% droprate, and again these calculations are not the EXPECTANCY (which is ofcourse different from chance).

Hey, I just started using this build today - and I cant even get past the graspings =/. Whenever I aggro a group of graspings, an aataxe always comes along and kills me :S. What should I do?

Cheers.

Storm Djinn's Haste MUST be cast before agroing anything in the entry chamber. The speed boost is what prevents Aatxe from pursuing you, assuming you run the opposite direction with your back facing the aatxe. If you walk backwards, aatxe will still chase.

Ok.. Im failing every single time, ive tried like 50 times and cant get to the smites lol.. The odd time i kill the 3 groups of graspings, I try running to the next room, but everything kills me before i can get to the safe place

. Can someone please show me a demo in game? Ill just suicide and watch you do it.
